Fall Planting in the Garden

On Friday we had our first planting day in the garden! Each class planted fall vegetable seeds in their own raised bed – peas, carrots, lettuce, turnips, lots of leafy greens and root veggies. We planted our herb garden so we can explore all the wonderful smells of lavender, mint, rosemary, sage, thyme and more. In our pollinator garden beds, we mounted bird houses, bug hotels and butterfly houses so come spring, we can see all the beautiful creatures that will come to our garden. Now we wait and watch things grow!

MBPCP Fundraiser 2017

It’s time for the annual MBPC Preschool Fundraiser! Every fall we kick off another great year with this fun night to play, meet, mingle and raise money for a unique project to make our school the best it can be.  Fundraiser packets have been sent home, and we hope everyone can make it. All are welcome, so spread the word to family, friends and neighbors! All donations are tax-deductible. See below for more details!

Send in your tickets or donation cards with payments by September 27th. More are available in the office!

Thanks to the enormous generosity of Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, we will be enjoying a delicious “Picnic in the Garden” of hand pulled pork, homemade mac ‘n cheese, cheese biscuits, sauce and more! We can’t thank them enough for supporting our school and our fundraiser!

We need your help to make our fundraiser a success! Please consider donating a bit of your time to set up tables after morning carpool, or staying after the fundraiser to break down. We are also asking for volunteers to send in desserts and a few other items. Follow the link below to sign up! Thanks!

Open House @ MBPCP

School days are approaching and we are ready to welcome you for another great year! Our Preschool Open House will be Thursday, August 24th.from 9:30-10:30. This is a fun orientation for your family and our preschoolers!

Please meet in your child’s new classroom at 9:30, where you and your child will meet the teacher and classmates, explore the room and receive information about the upcoming year. This will be your opportunity to volunteer for events, field trips and parties. If you have more than one child in our program, please begin in the room of your oldest child.

Promptly at 10:00, we will have a brief informational meeting with all parents in the Sanctuary. Your child may stay in the classroom with his or her teacher to play with new friends!

Parent Portal

This year we are excited to invite you to login to our new Parent Portal. This replaces the several pages of student information paperwork required in previous years.

Step 1: You will receive an email with an invitation code that is family specific. All you need to do is create a username and password.

Step 2: Once you have set up your account, you will receive a second email from Parent Portal to re-enroll your child. This will allow you to use your account to enter/edit your student information directly into our system. Click on “Edit” for both Parent Contacts and Student Information. Under Student Information, please review both “Personal Information” and “Medical Information” to make sure the information is complete. You will also need to add Emergency Contacts and anyone approved for carpool pick up.

We must have all information submitted before Open House, so don’t delay.

This is a new process, so if you have any questions or feedback, please contact Mary Liz or Kimmy in the office.

Additional Forms for Open House

You will also need the following additional forms for the 2017-2018 school year. Please read, print and complete all forms and return at Open House. Forms are also available in the preschool office and Parent Portal.

  • Affidavit to be notarized for the State of Alabama – sample also attached; as a church preschool, we must submit one for each student to the state at the beginning of each school year. Please bring a completed and notarized form to Open House. We will have a notary available during Open House for your convenience.
  • 4 year old and 5K Field Trip Permission Form – for 4s and 5K classes only
  • If your child will be attending Sunshine Bunch (8:00-9:00) or Wee Play (1:00-2:15) you must return the August/September registration form at Open House.

Your child must have a current Immunization Form to begin school. These forms may be obtained at your pediatrician’s office. If you are unsure if your child’s form on file has expired, please contact the office.

For more information, please review our MBPC Preschool Handbook, where you will find details about our programs, policies, rules and helpful information.
