Mary Liz Ingram grew up in Birmingham and attended Samford University, receiving a BA in Religion, and McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta. After seminary, Mary Liz was the Director of Children’s Ministries at McDonough Presbyterian Church, just south of Atlanta, for 5 years, with over 100 children and 40 volunteers participating yearly. At McDonough Presbyterian, she aided in the development, start-up and growth of McDonough Presbyterian Preschool, involved in the beginning stages. She is married to Stephen and has three children, Mary Clare, Patrick and Nora, who have grown up in the warm environment of MBPC Preschool. Mary Liz has been a part of MBPC Preschool since 2008, teaching ages 2-4, Enrichment and Art classes and Chapel, serving as Assistant Director of the preschool during the 2011-2012 school year, and beginning as Director in 2012. She loves MBPC Preschool and spending time with our wonderful preschoolers!

Kimmy Wilson is married to Rob and has two daughters, who have both attended MBPCP. Emily is in kindergarten at Brookwood Forest and Anne is in Miss Alex’s four year old class. She has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and taught kindergarten and first grade before staying home with her daughters. Originally from Oregon, she met her husband in Colorado and moved to Birmingham in 2014. She enjoys running, spending time with her family and being outside!
Elizabeth Powell grew up in Elba, Alabama. She graduated from The University of Alabama in 2002 with a degree in Hospitality Management. Upon graduating, she worked for a pharmaceutical sales company until her first child was born. She then became a nanny for a family and was with them for four years until she started at MBPC Preschool. Elizabeth is married to Taylor and they have two girls, Sara Clark and Amelia, who have both attended MBPC Preschool.
Robin Miller grew up in Dothan, Alabama and is a graduate of The University of Alabama. She was a graphic designer at an advertising agency before working as a freelance illustrator so she could stay at home with her three girls. Robin is married to Sam, both proud to be active parents at MBPC Preschool since 2006. Now that her children have all graduated from MBPC Preschool, Robin is so excited to be on staff and have a reason to stay involved with one of her favorite places!

Anna Drinkard was born in Birmingham and lived in Mountain Brook as a young child, but spent most of her childhood in Houston, TX. Anna graduated from The University of Alabama in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a minor in Nutrition. Anna met her husband, Counce, at U of A and they moved to Nashville upon graduating where they married and had two daughters. In 2014, Anna and her family moved from Nashville to Mountain Brook. Anna has two daughters, the oldest at the junior high and the youngest at BWF. Her youngest daughter attended MBPC Preschool for two years before entering Kindergarten. Anna was a full-time Mom before joining the MBPC Preschool team two years ago and is excited to begin her 3rd year in the infant classroom.
Celeste has lived in Mountain Brook for the past 20 years. She has taught elementary school and has a masters in early childhood education. She has been a preschool teacher at MBPC off and on over the past 15 years, teaching the threes and fours and substituting for all ages. She has two children at the University of Alabama and one at Mountain Brook High School.
I am currently a junior at UAB and studying in the School of Nursing. Upon graduating I hope to become a pediatric nurse and take all that I have learned from the preschool and apply it to my practice. After working at the preschool with the toddlers class the last two summers I could not be more excited to be working with Mrs. Shannon in the two year olds class for the rest of this year.
Emily Miller grew up in Mobile,Al. Emily went to the University of Southern Mississippi where she played tennis there. After college Emily moved to Birmingham and has been here for 18 years. She met her husband Adam and they have 3 kids. Hudson is in 6th grade, Hayes is in 2nd grade, and Mary Brooks is in Kindergarten at Brookwood Forest Elementary. Mary Brooks attended 5k at Mountain Brook Pres last year. Emily was a full time mom before joining the MBPC preschool team 2 years ago. She is excited to begin her third year in the toddler class on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Evelyn Graham was born in California and raised in Texas. She is an Auburn University graduate with a degree in Business Administration/Accounting and a longtime resident of Birmingham, Alabama. When her first child, Drew, a 16 weeks premature triplet, needed special care, Evelyn left the corporate world to become a full-time stay-at-home mother. Living just a mile from MBPC gave the Graham family the opportunity to see not only Drew, but Anne Cadman, Thomas, and Sam also become graduates of MBPC Preschool. Volunteering for seven years at the Bell Center for Early Intervention was an immeasurably rewarding experience. This is her third year to work with toddlers again here at MBPC, a place very near and dear to her heart!
Hi! My name is Beth Underwood and I will be working with Taylor in the Toddler Room. I am so excited to meet you and your precious children! I have been subbing at MBPC since February, and have loved my time here. Prior to my children being born, I taught in the Hoover school system for several years. I also gained preschool experience while completing my graduate degree. I am married and have a daughter, Caroline, that’s a senior at Mountain Brook High School. My son Hudson is in 8th grade at Mountain Brook Junior High. I look forward to this year and promise to care for and interact with your children the way I would have wanted someone to do with mine!
Shannon Anderson has worked at MBPC for the past two years, as well as during past Summer Fun programs. Shannon has two teenage children, and does an amazing job with our sweet two year olds! We are so happy to have her working with us!
Cesa James was born and raised in Birmingham. After college she moved to Los Angeles where she worked as Director of Security and Transportation at The Culver Studios. She lived in LA for 12yrs before returning to Birmingham. For the last several years she has worked at St. Francis Xavier Preschool as an aide in the toddler room. She has 4 children Briley (4th grade) Ephram (2nd grade) and her 2 youngest children will be attending MBPC Dixon (5k) and Tyrion (2k). She is so excited to be joining the MPBC family and working in the 2k Class!
Beth Woody grew up in Mobile, Alabama. She attended Auburn University and has worked in both retail and banking. For the past 18 years has been a stay at home mom. She lives in Vestavia with her husband Bill and they have twin daughters, Jordan and Kendall, both Freshman at Auburn University. She volunteered for 7 years at the Bell Center for Early Intervention during her time as a stay at home mom and found it to be such a rewarding experience. She is excited to be here at MBPC and to be working with her two year old class.
My name is Nicole Reboul Gilbert. I am so excited to be a teacher assistant in the two year old class!! Teaching has always been my passion. I wanted to be a teacher ever since I can remember. While this will be my first year teaching preschool I am a former third grade teacher at Brookwood Forest! I took a break from teaching in 2012 to stay home with my own children. My husband, Gerry, and I have three little boys. Grayson is 6 and will start kindergarten at Cherokee Bend, Brooks is 5 and will be in 5K at MB Pres, and Tucker is 3 and will be in the 3’s class at MB Pres. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your children. We will learn a lot, make new friends, and have lots of fun each day! I look forward to a great year and being a part of the MB Pres family!!
I am a mother of two girls Juliet 13 and Chandler 8. I am a standup comedian and love to make people laugh! I love working with children and doing anything crafty! I enjoy photography, concerts, spending time with my family and Alabama football!
Anna Katherine Scogin graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught for 7 years in the Catholic School System. Growing up in Tuscaloosa, she married her high-school sweetheart (Drew) and they have a 2 year-old daughter, Anna Lake. If you ever visit the Birmingham Zoo, chances are you’ll run into them; they typically visit twice a week!
Mrs. Dena, Three year olds
Mary Joyce Lynch has lived in Birmingham her entire life. She is married to Frank, and they have two children and seven grandchildren. She has a degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama, although she is a huge Auburn fan! She taught at MBPC Preschool when her children were young. She took a few years off and returned to teaching at the preschool when her children were teenagers. She stopped teaching in 2007 to take care of her first grandchild, and that is when her daughter, Morgan Rogers, began teaching. All seven of her grandchildren have been blessed to attend MBPC Preschool. She has been substituting for the past few years and is thrilled to be helping out with the three year olds on Tuesdays and Thursdays this year!

Denise Lauriello is from upstate New York and attended college at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Her husband, John, is also from NY and the couple met while attending the same university. After living in the New England area for many years, they decided to move to Alabama to be closer to family. The couple, with their 2 children, Jennifer and Anthony, have lived in Mountain Brook since 2003. Denise has been a preschool teacher for 14 years and loves the supportive and energetic environment at MBPC. When she is not at the school, you may see her walking the streets with her dog or at the local grocery stores as she also enjoys cooking.
Stella Brittain grew up in Mountain Brook, graduated from MBHS, and Auburn University with a BS in Elementary Education. After retiring from 36 years in the corporate world, she has come full circle back to her passion of working with children. She has been a sub at 2 preschools, as well as a nanny for several families over the past few years. She iss very excited to join the MBPC family!
Morgan Rogers grew up in Mountain Brook and attended MBPC Preschool as a child. She graduated from Auburn University in 2006 with a BS in elementary education. She taught second grade at Edgewood Elementary in Homewood for one year and has been a teacher at MBPC Preschool for the twelve years. Morgan is married to Justin, and they have four children, Bella, Palmer, Mary Morgan and Hunter. All of her children have been a part of our preschool. She loves being a part of our preschool family and is looking forward to a terrific year!
Mrs. Tina, Four year olds
Tina Watson is originally from Pensacola, FL, but moved to Birmingham as a child. She is married to Cory and they have two daughters and currently lives in Trussville. She has taught at MBPC Preschool for over 20 years!
Bethanne Taylor grew up in Decatur, AL and is a mom of 2 active boys. Both boys attended MBPC Preschool, and Bethanne gives credit to the program for helping rear her children and prepare them for their social & educational development. Bethanne received a BA in Graphic Design and Art History from Auburn University and a Masters in Art Education (K-12) from UAB. She taught Elementary Art in the Homewood system for many years. Bethanne is also a teacher-alum here at the preschool. Prior to taking time off to be a full-time mom, Bethanne taught toddlers and 3 & 4 year olds. She feels that teaching is her “calling,” and is blessed to be able to do what she loves. Preparing kids emotionally, socially, spiritually and intellectually is the sole purpose behind her curriculum. This is more than a job to her… it is simply what she was “meant” to do.
