We spent the last two beautiful days enjoying our Five Senses Outdoor Classroom and Community Habitat Garden. We planted vegetable plants and seeds in our teaching garden raised beds, sunflowers by our giant ruler, and perennial flowers in the pollinator beds.
Each age group enjoyed time digging and playing in the Children’s Exploration Area, with a sand box, gravel box, fairy garden, dinosaur garden, and lots of garden tools and dirt! Feel free to stop by anytime and take a peek at the growing plants, the little peaches, apples, blueberries and blackberries.
Check out these links to see how much our garden has grown:
The 4 year old classes have planted a garden this year, right outside the window of Mrs. Tina’s class. Students brought in garden soil, plants and seeds, and record notes and drawings in their garden journals. There is something new to see every day, as we learn about our world and where our food comes from!
We have had a blast this year with our large Wee Play and Sunshine Bunch programs! Don’t forget to send in your forms to register your child for May, and that we are offering the programs during Summer Fun! The kids love playing with friends of all preschool ages, and now that Spring is here, our outdoor activities are bringing lots of smiles!
